There is an inherent solace, an unmistakable peacefulness that exists within the natural world. We find strength and healing through simply existing in this space. A growing body of research concludes that being outdoors and participating in nature-based activities enhances your overall well-being – physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually. While a trusting, authentic relationship between counselor and client is a key factor in fostering healing and change, outdoor counseling enriches this through the addition of our complex and beautiful environment, bringing counselor and client into direct contact with our natural surroundings.
