Clients are expected to pay for each session at the time of appointment. Cash, personal checks, and Visa/Mastercard (including HSA's) are accepted forms of payment.


Current fees are as follows:

Initial Intake (30 min) - complimentary

Assessment and Evaluation follow-up (50 min) - $50

Individual therapy sessions (50 min) - $50

Family or couple therapy sessions (50 min) - $75

Phone consultation - $50/hour (prorated for call length)

Late cancellation/No show - $25

Returned Check Fee - $25



Specializing as a grief counselor, I recognize that the experience of loss is deeply personal, and the counseling journey is unpredictable and individually unique. It is vital that you control your path towards healing. As such, I’ve elected not to be on insurance panels and do not file insurance claims for clients. Insurance companies dictate the length of sessions, duration of counseling, type of interventions to be used and require the disclosure of confidential information to determine coverage eligibility. It is my firm belief that you are a person, not a diagnosis. For counseling sessions to be covered by insurance a diagnosis must be made, which then becomes a part of your permanent health record and may impact your health/life insurance eligibility and/or benefits in the future. While insurance companies claim to keep this information confidential, I have no control over what happens to the information once it leaves my office. Paying out of pocket assures that the highest possible degree of privacy is maintained. It is my perspective that establishing a reasonable, affordable fee preserves the integrity of the counseling process and the work we do together. Therefore, you are financially responsible for payment of all services. Upon your request, I can provide you with a receipt which you can submit for potential reimbursement from your insurance provider. Please be aware that doing so carries an inherent risk to confidentiality, privacy, and may affect your future eligibility to obtain health or life insurance.



Please provide at least 24 hours advance notice if you can’t make your appointment. If you miss your appointment and fail to notify, you will billed a cancellation fee of $25.
